wife has locked me out of the house.

Post by Lmbdave » Sat Dec 29, 2018 11:05 pm

hi there.
can anyone please advise me.
i am married to a british wife.
we have been married in 2016 and applied for an flr 10 years route which was granted last year.
a few days ago, there has a been a cheating allegation made against me and she locked me out of the house.
she wouldnt allow me to come back in and has threatened to file for a divorce and has threatened to contact the immigration and inform them that the marriage was not real, was fixed.
we have a kid together and she is making it hard for me to be there for my kid.
i dont know what to do and i am forced to be sleeping in friends houses.
what can i do? as i am extremely depressed and feel taken advantage of.
she is threatening to go to her lawyer and contact the immigration.
Please advise what to do! thank you.

Is the cheating allegation true or false? Be honest with her.

Why are you asking for relationship advice on an immigration forum?

I assume due to the OP's concern that the wife will report his FLR(FP) application as false.

@Lmbdave Your wife should be made aware that she would be complicit in making a false statement in the visa application. Even more difficult to prove the marriage was one of convenience if you have a child together.

The local police may be able to assist you in re-gaining entry to your home.

Under which category was FLR(FP) granted? Parent, partner or private life :?:

Thank you all for your replies.
The flr(fp) was granted under partner route.
She has madeit clear to me that she is going to divorce me and report me to the immigration.
I dont have a choice starting getting prepared and thinking about what steps to take next which i am complety unsure of. She wants me deported and she has told me that in many occasions. She has the full backing of her family and i have no one to assist me. I feel extremely weak and intimidated and worried as the last thing I want is lose my kid and getting deported because she is mad at me. The allegations of cheating are not accurate. I have now left the marital home which is rented and has our both names on the tenancy agreement. This is serious and i need some advices on how to proceed from here. Should I get an immigration lawyer or a family lawyer? Any advice will be appreciated. All i want is be there for my kid and it’s killing not having to hold her in my arms anymore because of all of this.

I suggest you seek advice primarily from a family law Solicitor.

Your wife can't 'have you deported'. That's solely a decision for the Home Office. If you are separated, providing you can maintain contact with your child (which the solicitor will advise on), you may well be able to remain in the UK under FLR(FP) Parent route.
