Unmarried Partner Visa - can I re-apply?

Post by Dorihow » Mon Dec 31, 2018 4:30 pm

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I've been unable to locate the information anywhere.

I am a US citizen currently residing in the UK on an unmarried partner visa with my partner who is a British citizen. My visa expires in May, and I was hoping to apply for the unmarried partner visa again because very little of our circumstances have changed. Is it possible to apply for this type of visa more than once? Or will I need to apply for something different?

Many thanks in advance for any help!

You can continue to extend your visa as an Unmarried Partner by submitting a FLR(M) application.

The current visa fee is £1,033, although there is generally an increase around 6th April each year. You can apply 28 days prior to your 30 months from date of entry on your current visa, or before your visa expiry date.

In addition to the visa fee you will also have to pay the £1,000 NHS surcharge.
