Dependent separate form?

Hi

I am hoping to understand from when exactly i am eligible to apply for ILR.

Following are my visa details:
Tier 2 (General) Visa:

Visa Valid from: 12/06/14
Visa Valid until: 01/07/19

I moved to UK at 09 JUL 2014

I understand from gov.uk website that i am eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before.. just trying to understand if that date would be compared to visa valid from, visa valid until or from the date i moved to UK (dates provided above)?

Considering my aforementioned dates, Can you please help me with this?

From I understand, the 5 years period should start from the date you enter the UK, not the visa starting date.

As you mention that you enter UK at 09 JUL 2014, then 5 years period will be 09 JUL 2019. Then the earliest application date should be 11 June 2019.

At this moment, new application (online) just release, there are a lot questions which confuses a lot of people, you need to be careful with that.

@ user 'MEP10JL' - please do not give incorrect advice. There are different rules depending on visa category held. The OP in this topic is a PBS visa holder and NOT a spouse settlement visa holder

PBS visa holders it counts from VISA ISSUE/START date and NOT from date of entry.

I believe u qualify to apply from 14 may 2019 onward (28 days before ur visa start date).

Check guidance and immigration rules pertaining to PBS applicants.
Clearly a moderator guru can’t be wrong on something that is common knowledge to all other pbs visa holders..
You’ll find ur answer near abts the continuous residence paragraph..
also check caseworker guidance notes.

Thank you so much. On page 8, i found below

"The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK
may be counted toward the qualifying period. Any absences between the date of
issue and entry to the UK are considered an allowable absence. This period will
count towards the 180 days allowable absence in the continuous 12-month period.
The applicant does not need to provide evidence to demonstrate the reason for
delayed entry. "

it means days between my Visa start and My actual moving to UK would be consider allowable absence so Visa start date would be consider start of my 5 year stay in UK.. so 28 days before my Visa start day, i can apply.

To make sure we have the whole pic and know that if your dependents are applying ILR on the correct form or would need a PBS extension.

You can apply for your ILR on separate account . If you want to use the 28 days window you can go for super priority first in the start of the window and then apply for dependets for standard service OR you can just use two separate accounts if you want to apply on the same date.

If you all apply together, the same “main applicant” account will let you add more applicants. For example, dependent partner, dependent children. If I am not wrong the payment system will give you two options either standard for all, or super priority for all and an aggregate total sum you would have to pay accordingly. I am not sure if you will be able to split the super priority for youself and standard for your dependents. As far as I am aware, the payments section gives an aggregate of total sum to be paid.

To get Tier 2 General visa, I had to pass IELTS exam by minimum achieving 4.5 band/score.. I scored 6 IELTS band/score... it was used/accepted by Home office for my Tier 2 General visa.. now if i apply for ILR, can i use the same 5 years old IELTS certificate? and also for ILR what IELTS band score is required?

You can only use an old expired test if it is a test on HO approved test list at level B1 AND it is with a test provider that is still on HOs approved test provider current list.

I gave IELTS exam in 2014 and back then it was only either academic or general. I did IELTS general so is it different now as looking at
