No saving in a bank will effect citizenship application?

Just wondering this will effect my application,as I will apply for citizenship very soon before Brexit but we have no saving in a bank at all as all money my husband got goes into a home renovation for around 3 years and till now. Just a bit worried or I should start saving now for a few months to make it look good on account then apply later? We don’t claimed any benefit except Child benefit ,this would help my application? Thank you.
