Not necessary. I did B Tech followed by an MBA and was awarded points for a Masters degree. which Univ awarded degree for you MCA? Is it listed on the self assessment tool? If yes, you are in luck, otherwise you will have to get a evaluation done by NARIC.zion77 wrote:Dear All,
Got a query.
"Naric states a masters degree is only equivalent to a uk masters if awarded as a specialization following a bachelors degree in the same subject "

I have done graduation in BSc (Physics) and MCA.
I am planning to claim points for MCA as Masters - 35 points directly without going through NARIC.
For English Language proficiency, I have "Medium of Instruction" as English in all the semesters of BSc and MCA mark sheet.
Can you confirm whether my case is perfect for applying directly to HSMP.
right. I should have asked about the visa category that he is applying under.sushdmehta wrote:Are you applying for Tier 1 or HSMP?? The documentary evidence you provide will be based on which scheme you are applyin for.
regards
zion77 wrote:Thank you so much for your replies..I was under impression that Tier1 and HSMP are same..
Since I am applying from S.Korea, I will fall under HSMP category.
So this is the conclusion based on your replies:
Even If I am having MCA degree from University approved in NARIC d/b, I should get it validated by NARIC specifically, since I am applying under HSMP category.
Pls correct if I am wrong.
hmmm... things getting a bit murkier here. Let me try to find out something for you. In any case there could be some aberrations.zion77 wrote:I cannot say, I am 100% sure, becos when I read the below thread, it confuses me
