Spouse Visa - Accomodation requirements

Post by ash0105 » Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:18 pm

Hi all,

I am applying for the spouse visa as a US Citizen. My husband is currently staying in a flat that is owned by a friend and although we have all of the technicalities of the tenancy agreed, we do no have a formal written tenancy agreement. Will I have to ask for a formal tenancy agreement from the landlord? Or will a letter of approval from the landlord be enough for the application? Will we need anything else?

Also, the landlord prematurely put my name on the council tax bill. Is that okay?

Thank you, just starting this application with just under three weeks to accumulate all of the evidence so certainly feeling overwhelmed!! Any help would be appreciated! :)
