Discretion due to serious illness

Post by Marioad » Fri Jan 11, 2019 9:56 am

Hi guys,
I have indefinite leave to remain based on Refugee status.
I have been abroad for almost 18 month due to serious illness of my wife (Leukaemia cancer) I was the only one who can be able to support and look after her.
Is that could be a reasonable justification to get discretion of breaking my residency in the UK in order to apply for naturalization.

Thanks,

Review the requirements booklet (if not already done so):
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... en-form-an
There is reference to discretion but nothing relating to relative's illness. Did you return to your home country for the 18 months?
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
