Would having a residency from another country and spouse living abroad affect ILR application

Post by sowmya92 » Fri Jan 11, 2019 8:14 pm

I would appreciate any help/guidance on a specific topic related to my ILR application decision process through Teir 2 general 5 years route.
I intend to apply for ILR in feb 2019, I have fulfilled all for the requirements, but a bit skeptical and worried if my martial situation would affect my application in any way? Or would there is any questions regarding spouses status ?

Basically, I have been married for 2 years, my husband and I have always lived apart. He works in Canada for now, but he has intentions of moving to UK once my settlement has been granted. He has signed a contract that restricts him to leave Canada immediately.
I have also been granted permanent residency for Canada, however I have no intentions to move to Canada.

So, would the case officer generally see an issue with spouses living abroad and me having a foriegn residency permit. If so, how could I explain and avoid any rejections related to this situation.

This may affect his visa but not your ILR
