Tier 4 switch to FLR(M) online form living together?

Post by maggiec » Mon Jan 14, 2019 8:40 pm

Hi

I'm currently under tier 4 student visa which expires oct 2019 and planning to get married in July and apply for flr(m) in October. Im filling up the online form now to see what is required. I'm really confused about:

1. I'll be submitting the form this September and I'll be living with my husband formally from July so should I say I am currently living with him?
2. If I say yes, it asks me to provide evidence of living together for 2 years which I cannot provide because I lived in student accommodation at uni and received letters there for the past 3 years.
3. if I say no, at some point it asks when did I last see him. Should I fill in the date of application?

On another note, I remember hearing that if my husband's parents are providing us accommodations free of charge, it would be an issue if they receive benefits such as carer's allowance, I couldn't find this information now. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks, Maggie

Ir is too early to complete the form now. Wait till you are ready to apply and answer the questions accordingly. Don't lie in the form.

There is no requirement to have evidence of living together for 2 years if you are married!!

Hi. Can I ask why you say there is no requirement needed if you are married and living together? we are currently going through the process of the FLR M application and we are married and have been living together and they ask for proof. Do you say this because are circumstances may be different, but surely they need proof you have been living together?.

The user is switching to flr m from a student tier 4 visa AFTER getting married later this year. I was specifically referring to the 2 year cohabitation they asked about, which is for unmarried partners or flr m extension applications.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I'm still confused. We are applying for my partners extension on FLR M route next step from entry clearance!

Your circumstances are completely different to the user who started this topic. Please continue your questions in your own topic you already have where you have been receiving advice.
