UK Spouse Visa Duplicate Bank Statements

Post by aloofness » Tue Jan 15, 2019 3:09 pm

Hi everyone!

I’ve just submitted my visa, did biometrics, and sent in all my supporting documents. Per their most recent request and policy changes I mailed in photocopies. I just realized that on a few of my bank statements I sent in with my application the word “duplicate” is listed above “Account Name.” These are official paper copies that arrived in the mail from HSBC. It looks identical to the other bank statements I used for my application, minus the word duplicate written on them. I am so worried now and was wondering if I will have any issues with these statements? Has anyone been successful using official duplicate statements from their bank in their application? Thank you!!!

No issues with it saying duplicate, as long as it's bank printed and not printed by you (in case if it's printed by you, I would recommend getting it signed/stamped/dated by bank)

Thank you so much for your reply! You've eased my worried mind. They are the bank statements that HSBC sent us in the mail after we requested them. I was just worried that the Home Office might think they are not genuine with the word "duplicate" written on a few of the statements.
