Citizenship MN1 Application - Professional Referee - Sensitive Data Issue

Post by dbld03 » Wed Jan 16, 2019 7:23 pm

I was filling in the online MN1 application and came to the point where I actually needed to enter the referee's data (passport no, name, address, etc).

My daughter's teacher said earlier she wouldn't mind to be a professional referee but after I printed out the referee form and told her that I'd need her dob, address, passport to add to the application she noted that this would put her in a somewhat vulnerable position.

She suggested she would post her signed referee declaration directly to HO in a sealed envelope but I don't think it's a good solution.

GP said they wouldn't do it. We haven't had any health visitors for 7 years - we only had one after birth I think. Ministers of religion are also out of equation.

Has anyone come across a similar issue ? Is there any other way around it without me actually knowing their address, passport no etc ?

(Applying under 1(3) as settled parent).
