Police caution and naturalisation

Hi all . I had a argument with my husband and in panic called the police. The police gave a simple caution contrary to sec 39 to him. He has realised his mistake and I am also sorry for all this. We are a family with three kids and we realised what happened was wrong. Now he needs to apply for naturalisation in November and the caution is given on 14th Jan 2019. I just need somebody to help on it . Will my supporting letter help in his application cause he is good father to my kids and that was just heated argument which he admitted in front of police and got caution. I really need to help him out of this please thank you very much

Suggest you review the case worker guidance on "good character":

Basically it is required to be disclosed - whether it has any bearing on the application I wouldn't like to speculate. Partner should explain fully the circumstances. Don't think a letter from you is necessary as long as all the facts are disclosed.

I am sorry to tell you this but unfortunately he needs to spend 3 years for Simple Caution. I had an argument with my bf and I did exactly the same thing like you. I got angry and called the police. We both got Simple Caution. Police kind of trick people with that!! They said that if I didn't sign the caution I had to go to court' when you hear about court you just sign it without thinking.Especially, if you never had a situation like that. And they told me that it wasn't gonna effect my visa application. Anyways, I applied for Indefinite leave to remain after 1,5 years and my bf wrote a letter saying that it was his fault (which was true) but HO refused my visa. Basically, your letter is not gonna help with that, sorry.
