MEXICAN wife SPOUSE Entry Clearance Supporting Evidence

Post by Teresita » Mon Jan 28, 2019 8:12 pm

Hello everyone,

I will be submitting my application for Spouse Entry Clearance VISA on the next month or two as my husband is a British National.

I have a question regarding applications submitted from Mexico:

-Do I have to take my supporting evidence (besides passport and application) to the VFS office? Or do I have the option to send it myself to Sheffield?

In the VFS website they state the following:
"All documents submitted by customers applying for all categories of visas (except for settlement) will be scanned at the visa application centre and sent electronically to UK Visas and Immigration.

The new process allows you to keep your supporting documents during the application process. Wherever possible, your documents will be returned to you once they have been scanned at the visa application centre.

You can also submit photocopies you have made yourself, but they must be clear and legible.

Please note that supporting documents may be returned before you receive a decision on the application. This is a normal part of the process and there is no need to contact UK Visas and Immigration."

I'm confused because they say all documents are scanned there except for settlement, so am I supposed to send them to Sheffield?

Thank you for your replies!
