Given what you say about the ability to withdraw the funds at any time, and the deposit maturing in two months time, I think you could include all those funds. However if there is a penalty for early withdrawal you should deduct that potential penalty in stating the funds available.

Will I be able to succeed? Because as per PBS I think iam falling in the third point.

"You must send one or a combination of the following:

1. personal bank or building society statements covering a period of three months;
2. building society passbook or passbooks covering a period of three months;
3. letter from your bank confirming the level of funds in your bank account and that they have been held in that account for at least three months;
4. letter from a financial institution regulated by the Financial Services Authority confirming

I would appreciate if someone can clear my doubts:

1. Can I show the money deposited in Bank Fixed Deposit?

2. I have an account with HSBC UK. The last deposit was made in Jan 2006. Can can show this money as maintanance fund.

3. I have lended my money to a company in 2006. Now I have taken back that money to show as maintanance fund. What should I mention for the source of this fund.

Please guide.

Thanks
Amit

I too had the same situation as yours and after reading the guidance notes several times and browsing through this forum, I have broken my FD and now have the amount in my bank account. No where it mentions that FD account is accepted. I am yet to apply for tier 1.

Cheers.

Have you tried Selft Assessment tool on BIA site. Though it is not mandatory but I would suggest to go for NARIC. It might save you the processing fee if the degree is not recognised while processing your Tier 1 application.

Hi Amit,

I checked on the website, for education they are giving 30 points but in the english medium, my university name is not mentioned. How will a naric help for english medium? I think I have to go for IELTS. Any other alternative from senior members please let me know.

The only option for you is to take one of the approved exams. No other alternative possible.
