Spouse visa extension

Post by shakkzz » Tue Jan 29, 2019 8:40 pm

I came to uk in 2010 as a student and my student visa was valid throughout the period till 2016.
In 2016 I got married to a British spouse and got visa as a spouse(FLR m 5 year route).
my spouse visa extension is due soon and unfortunately I cannot meet the financial requirements this time.
My question is how easy or how difficult it would be to get a grant of leave without meeting financial requirements?
Please advice

Thank you

You should submit a FLR(FP) Partner route application before your current visa expires. This would be a 10 year route to settlement. However, if granted you would be able vary to ILR under long residence once you've completed 10 years of legal stay with a combination of visas.

Does your wife work? Do you have a child together?

Thank you very much for your answer.

My wife doesn't work and we do not have any child yet.
Do they normally refuse this type of visa?
Do they give appeal right if refused?
Or they grant visa in 10 year route.
