Entry Clearance vs Actual Arrival date- Impact on ILR

Hi,

I have got Tier 2 general visa stamp date of 13 July 2014 (for 5 years; expiry date 22 July 2019) as my initial COS start date was 1st August 2014.

Due to delay in getting relieved from my previous company, i had to also delay my UK arrival to 29th August 2014 and my revised COS start date (1st September 2014) was conveyed to Home office. I have been with same employer throughout.

My question is when would i be eligible to apply for ILR (4 year 11 months) this year, is it based on entry clearance stamp date (13th July 2014) or my actual UK arrival date (29th August 2014)? if it is based on actual arrival date then i would be short on few days as my visa expires on 22 July 2019 and hence would require extension?.

Advise from experts would be helpful.
