ILR of divorced parent with kids

Can anyone help on how to get ILR for the kids after one parent's visa (tier 2 dependent visa ) was curtailed

What is the other parents visa status??

A PBS dependent cannot apply for ILR on their own without the main pbs migrant applying at the same time or already holding ILR and the other parent is also applying.

Yes I understand that - The primary applicant is applying but the other parent will not be in the uk. In the leave to remains section I found that either both parents should be in the UK, or the parent applying has sole responsibility or the child usually lives with the parent applying.

So what is the situation with the other parent? Still married and simply living in different countries? Does the other parent have a dependent visa?

Doesn't change the fact that the children cannot apply for ILR on their own without the main pbs visa holder.
