Tier2(Gen) to ILR processing time - Change of circumstances

Post by amirdragon0 » Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:48 pm

Hi,

I have applied to switch my Tier2(Gen) visa to ILR late Nov2018 using new online system.
I have submitted my application on 27th of Nov and enrolled my biometric details on 28th. On 28th I received an email with my caseid confirmed that my application received. On 29th I posted my documents and those also received the following day. So far so good!
Since then I have not heard from HO, so I assumed they stopped sending acknowledgement letters.

Here are my questions:
1) I know it says the processing time is up to 6 months, but is there any more accurate timing available? i.e. what's the average timeline?
2) Is there anyway I can change my application to Priority service so I can get my result sooner?
3) I probably need my passport for a work travel in early March, so I am wondering whether I can ask HO to send me the passport and my old Tier2 visa (still valid until Sep 2019) while they are processing my application?
4) When I submitted my application, HR provided me with a letter confirming that I am still working with salary, SOC, etc, 2 weeks ago my employer announced that they are going to go through a restructure process and my role is one of the at-risk job titles. The process will start mid-late March 2019, so assuming I was unsuccessful and lost my job, they are giving me 3 months notice period (So I have to leave by Jun-July 2019), if by end of March I do not get my visa decision, will the redundancy affect my application?
5- And finally Is there any way I can track my application? Gov.UK website only gave me number 0300 123 2241 and they do not have access to applications to provide useful details.
It's very hard to believe UKBA does not have a proper tracking system or even a useful customer service!

Any help/advise is much appreciated.

1. Have you looked through the timeline thread??? indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-timeline ... 5-380.html

2. No.

3. You could, but travelling out of the UK could result in your application being withdrawn.

4. Possibly but unlikely. You should have a response before then anyway.

5. No there is no online tracking process or website.

CR001,
Just one more question, When employer decides to redundant a sponsored staff (in my case that will be by end of March for instance) Should they inform BO on that date or when the notice period finished and the person completely left the job?
If Employer waits until my last day at work, I expect my application decided by then and no problem then.
But my concern is by end of March (when the interviews and selection process finished and they made their mind) my employer informs the BO and if by then my application is still in progress, then the application would be withdrawn or refused?

After your last day of work.

Not sure why you refer to HO as BO??

If your ILR has not be decided and this happens, your ILR will be refused.
