UKVI new front End service

Hi,

My wife want to use this new service for application as she is eligible for settle under PBS route( completed 5 year as PBS dependent). Main question is can she apply and travel after applying ? I mean after the appointment, do they return her passport and biometric card ?

If she travels before a decision is made, her application will be considered as withdrawn.
(Casa, not CR001)
