FLR(M) Extension A level Trinity Collage Validity

Post by turkishh » Sun Jan 27, 2019 7:39 pm

Hi everybody,

I have been looking titles and been searching but couldn't find the answer so far.

My question is can I use A2 Level Trinity college English certificate for my FLR(M) second-year extension visa? I have used this certificate for my first FLR(M) Visa and approved. So it has been 2,5 years since I took the exam.

I find an Appendix about it:( see 44 ) It clearly says I can use it and I have seen people been accepted.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... intent.pdf

But the new appendix is confusing and regulations always change : (see page17)

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 3.0ext.pdf

So, has anyone recently applied FLR(M) extension visa? It would be really helpful.

Thank you in advance!

That test is still on HO list but make sure that whether the centre at which it was carried out is still on HO list:

When to apply FLR(M) 31 months

Post by turkishh » Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:36 pm

Hi guys,

I just noticed I have been granted my visa for 2 years, 6 months, 28 days  lol

My visa issued on 16.09.2016
expires on 13.04.2019

As I assume, I can apply for my first extension after 2,5 years initial visa 28 days before reaching 30 months or 28 days before my visa expires. Can someone tell me when should I apply? I will apply by post so how does it work out? I need help as I am worried a bit.

Thanks, everybody!

Thanks for your reply! One more question. I will appl my FLRM next month. How do I apply? I will fill the form online, upload my documents online, then book an appointment for biometric enrollment?

Do I have to post my documents to Sheffield?

It's so confusingg ;(

No sooner than within 28 days before reaching 30 months residence counted from date of entry to the UK.

Online, upload, attend appointment. You don't post anything if you use the new service.

Thanks CR001 ! How quicky you replied! Your a star!

So I can apply after 16th February 2019 which is 28 days before reaching 30 months. But almost 2 months before my visa expires date :S
Did I calculate it right?

If I use the new system do I have to pay more than what I have to pay? I mean If I choose the standard new system, I will pay £1033 for visa and £1000 for IHS. Do I have to pay If I choose an appointment?

I am sorry. I am confusing you but I am confused too :(

You pay:
£1,052.20 visa fee
£1,000 IHS fee

Both are paid through the online application form process - I found it fairly straightforward. You receive an email confirmation and reference number for each payment

Regarding appointments, we chose Manchester which is a Core centre and there were £100 appointments after a few days and available every day. But we selected a free appointment, the first available was around 8 days.

So we have not paid extra and will attend the appointment for Biometrics but will also take the uploaded evidence.

Once you complete the online form, there is the option to select the new service or the old service.

I chose the new service so not sure where the biometrics would be done for the old service ie post office.

I'll be going with the applicant as her sponsor and hoping they let me through!

Successful Flr(M) extension

Post by turkishh » Sat Apr 06, 2019 10:49 am

Hi guys, I applied for FLR(M) extension with the new system on 25th March and got a letter today that states I have been granted for 30 months (wohooo) I can not believe it only took 10 days them to decide! I am glad I didn't pay 600£ more for priority option!

BTW my sponsor did not need to come with me to Brp enrollment.

AND.... I applied with my old Trinity A2 certificate and they accepted. That means it can be submit if the certificate is been used previous approved visa application and still on the HO list.

Hope my story help you guys who have concerns about it.

Congratulations.

My wife applied for the first FLR(M) extension online 17/02/19 - not priority

Biometrics 01/03/19 - no fee for appointment

BRP received 27/03/19
Visa letter received 28/03/19

Good luck to everyone else that is applying.
