Baby born in the UK - Citizenship

Post by Yassantos » Thu Feb 21, 2019 3:02 pm

Hi Simon, I have similar case. Baby was born in UK last October 2018. My route is under Tier 2 general alongside with my husband as dependant. We will apply for visa extension in June (visa will expire September this year) My question is:

Can we include my daughter in the visa application as my dependant? If yes do you know what specific form in the home office website should I use?

Also, once I acquire ILR in 2-3 years time will the visa of my baby affects her application to register as a British? I have read in some blogs that it is better not to travel child outside the UK or get a visa because she couldn’t a register as a british when I eventually acquire ILR because she already had a visa like mine. I Am confused. Thank you for your answer in advance.

1. Please do not tag onto other members topics. Post split and moved to Tier 2 sub forum.

Yes you can. It is the PBS Dependent child form.

No.
