ILR/Set(M) - spouse Naturalization required?

Post by mziada » Sun Feb 24, 2019 8:07 pm

Hi

I am applying for ILR as a souse of settled British citizen (naturalized over 10 years ago), I can't find my wife's naturalization document, however I have the letter she received from Home Office when she was accepted. Would that be enough to provide as evidence of her settlement? won't her British passport also be evidence?

Please help me as I have 3 days until my appointment.

Many thanks
Mahmoud

British Passport alone is not a proof of Citizenship. She will need her British Citizenship Certificate to prove Nationality.

But wait for someone else to confirm if only British Passport will be ok in your case.

ILR - Supporting Document Categories

Post by mziada » Mon Feb 25, 2019 11:52 pm

Hi All,

I am uploading the supporting documents and I have a list of what to upload, but it's very unclear as to where to put each document under which category.. some are obvious but not the rest.

Is there any guidance on this?

Many thanks
Mahmoud

The categories really are not that important as long as you upload all your documents. If you have any particular document which you cant fit in a category post here, we will try to help.

I had my appointment this morning, I just wanted to let anyone interested to know about the documents categories when uploading them that; it's not really strict and just use common sense and logic and I don't think they are fuss about it anyway. I was only worried that they may have to re-scan the documents for that reason but I was wrong.

Have been granted the ILR after almost 5 hours from my appointment :D :D :D

Good luck to everyone.

And thanks Admins for all your help.
