ROA validity

I moved back from China to the UK last year with my 11 yr old son, so that he could be educated here. He has a Chinese passport which contains an ROA certificate. For ease of travel around Europe, I applied for and received a UK passport for him. I have been told that you cannot apply for an ROA certificate if you are a UK passport holder, so is the ROA in his Chinese passport still valid?

No, it wouldn't be as he has been issued with a British passport. He cannot hold both a British Passport and ROA.
