Does my husband and child need to switch to FLR (M)?

Post by Paddy2018 » Sat Mar 02, 2019 3:51 pm

Hello,

I recently received my ILR through 10 year long residence route. My last visa was Tier 2 Dependent, which was linked to my husband's Tier 2 General visa. Our child, born in the UK before I received ILR, is also on a Tier 2 Dependent visa.

Is there a requirement for my husband and my child to now switch to FLR (M) visa or can they continue living in the UK on their Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (Dependent) visas respectively till their visas are valid?

I'd really appreciate the help from forum members on this.

Many thanks,
Paddy

Preferably let them live on tier 2 visa if they are very nearer to 5 years and can meet the requirement because by this way they can get ILR more quicker. Otherwise changing them on FLRM will reset their ILR clock.
