Question regarding visa for European countries

Hiya just a quick question

Me and my hubby are planning on going away for a few days to a country in Europe (not decided where yet).

However he has only been in the UK for 6 weeks on a spouse visa, is it possible for him to get a Visa for that country, he has a pakistani passport? If so how would we go about applying for one?

Schengen visa from the embassy of the main destination. Book well in advance - some consulates are booked up three months in advance it seems....
