UK citizenship referees

Post by de4711 » Mon Mar 04, 2019 10:48 am

Hi there,

I have two questions about the referees:
1) It says that one person needs to someone of professional status (nationality doesn't matter) and the 2nd needs to be british.
Now I know someone who works as a Nurse, which should be acceptable as someone with professional status and she is british too. If that's the case, does the second person still also need to be british, or can I interpret this more as a "one of them has to be british"?
2) In regards to the second referee, I have someone in mind, but I'm not sure if he is disqualified because he's kinda related. Essentially he is the son of my wife's half-brother (from my mother-in-law's first marriage, so has a totally different last name) - will that work or is that still considered a relative? Or is it more along the lines, "when in doubt, it probably won't count"?

Thanks for any help

If first one is British second one must still be British as per requirement.

Thanks for any help

Hi

I work in the multinational LTD company.
Can both referees be employees of the same company (my employer)?
Both will be managers (so clasified as professionals) and one of them holding British passport.
thank you for a quick response.
