Spouse visa

Post by Kiki2019 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 11:06 pm

Hi I'm new here

I have just sent a settlement Visa application of my husband is in Jamaica and we submitted biometrics on 26th February 2019. The application was sent the following day or two along with appendix 2. The supporting documents will be sent tomorrow but I called up yesterday and they told me the application is with a entry clearance officer....what does this mean?

Just wondering how long does the process take as the lady told me i should hear from them within 60 days and there is no backlog.

Also I am filing under exempt financial requirement as I recieve dla and careers alloaance. Just wondering do they always contact the spouse or the sponsor and do they arrange a time and day or is this just random?

Also we applied for a visit Visa when I just had our child here in the UK but it was refused without appeal because they believed he had no reason to return back home to Jamaica as he had a child and fiance her in the UK and never showed enough ties to his homeland...will this effect our application now even though we are married I have travelled with our child 3 times since born and we keep in regular daily contact.

Would be grateful for any help and comments

It's only the beginning and I am already worried

Why have you delayed sending the supporting documents??

Why did you not send everything with appendix 2??
