No confirmation after submitting documents

Hi
My wife has applied for citizenship; she submitted this online and we received an email from the home office confirming her application had been submitted.
We then arranged an appointment with UKVI to submit her documents and have her biometrics taken. However, we haven't received any further confirmation / emails from either UKVI or Home Office that they have received or submitted her documents and biometrics.

Should we have?

I have tried looking online but I am none the wiser. All of the documents have been scanned and uploaded

It's normal not to get anything. HO don't inform you of every step of the process.
