PLEASE HELPMy child living overseas will become 18 years on 20/3/2019 and I am about to submit online application by 18/3/2019 because the application will not be valid on 20/3/19 when he turns 18 years.
Can someone please tell me the date of application for entry clearance for settlement for a child under 18 applying to join a British father ?
1. Is the date of application the date it is submitted online and payment made OR
2. Is the date of application the date the child attends a biometric appointment at visa centre?

Thanks a lot. I called UK home office advise line, they charged my £1.37(£23 in total ) but the person confused me that application date is date of biometric appointment and there was no way I was going we were going to get appointment before 20/3

Without the mother applying for a settlement visa, it is unlikely the visa will be granted. What evidence of sole responsibility do you have?

Why have you waited till just before the child turns 18 to apply?? An 18 year old harldy needs to be looked after like a small child for example?

Are you named in the birth certificate and if so, we're you added soon after the birth of the child??
