Hello All,

I am sorry for the subject title but am in a very bad predicament. I am a UK Citizen, I applied for my wife's spouse Settlement Visa in Jan 2019 from Pakistan. She went to pick up the Visa and passport today. She was accepted and granted a 2.5 year spouse Visa.

However, when she was outside the embassy and about to get into the car... she was robbed at gunpoint. They took the passport with the Visa stamp, confirmation of the Visa and her NIC card. We are in the process of applying for a new passport, she will be going in the morning. I'm not sure on what to do... She only has until the 17th April 2019 to enter the UK.

I spoke to the HO, they've said we need to apply for a Vignette Transfer. Sadly, we cant do this until we have a new passport. Which could take 1 week. Has anyone done a Vignette Transfer before? Is so how long does it take, is there a priority service for a Vignette transfer? I'm at a loss, after being apart for so long... we were so happy and then it has physically been snatched from our hands. I just thank God she wasn't killed.

Can someone please advise me on what to do? I've sent her to reapply for another passport. However, were not too sure how long that will take.

I have read every Viginette Transfer article/forum post on the internet. I'm not getting anywhere with this, I know this sounds stupid but if anyone could recommend me someone who could deal with this, it would be amazing

Simy apply for a new 30 day visa vignette, costs about £170.

there is no such service for that however it will be quicker. meanwhile, you probably will get her BRP card if ordered at home address. dont worry about the date, they will put a new date.

make sure you keep the lost report from police.

What are you referring to brp card at home address???

For entry clearance the visa holder needs to collect brp at the nominated post office with their passport and entry stamp!!
