FLR (O) application

Hi, I have applied for a Leave to Remain based on Family. I was previously on the same visa but me and my wife have now separated. I made a new application based on my 3 years old daughter. I have an order from the court giving me access to my daughter

I applied in Nov 2018 and still have not heard back from the HO.

I wanted to find out is this normal as I have been living in the UK since 2012 and normally when I have made applications in the past they only took a couple of weeks or maximum 2 months but this time it has been over 4 months and no response

what happens once the 6 months are up? do they have to make the decision by then?

Your topic title is FLR(O) application....didn't you apply under the FLR(FP) Parent route These applications are considered to be complex and it can take up to 12 months or more for a decision.
