Partner Visa Help Needed Please

Post by mooseoftheoz » Mon Mar 25, 2019 7:36 pm

I have been with my partner for over 6 years. When i first moved to the UK it was as a dependant on my mothers Ancestry Visa. Around 19 Months ago, I went back to Australia and got a T5 Youth Mobility visa. I have been living with my partner for just on 6 years and can prove all of the requirements for the Partner Visa.

I have been working as both self employed and casual over the past financial year 16/17, and since june 18 I have been working all Self Employed. I have earned 20k since June

My Partner is currently employed by the same employer for the past 2 years on a fulltime basis. (31K per annum) We have his payslips, contract, letter etc. He today was offered a new job and has been given the contract for this. He wants to resign from his job this Friday and take this new role in around 6 weeks as per his contract.

My question is this: What effect will this have on our application? What is the best way for us to proceed? He is employed with the initial company on the day of application?

Can you please help? My T5 Visa runs out in June and am deeply concerned on what we should put in the application form?

Warm wishes

Preferably you should wait until he gets at least 1st month payslip with new employer then you apply under category B where you attach his 11 months payslips with old employer and 1 month payslip with new employer.

Thank you for replying to me. I really appreciate it. My T5 Visa runs out on the 18 June - this might cut it fine.
If it takes time for the UK Visa Agency to process the application and my visa runs out, do i have to leave the country?

NO. section 3c will come into play to save you from becoming overstayer until decision if you submit your application before expiry
