IlR Expiry date & Leaving the Employer after ILR

Post by Junaidrai » Thu Mar 28, 2019 10:54 am

Hi Experts,

I hope you all are keeping well.

Just reviewed the details on the ILR (BRP) I have received (Tier 2 Gen. 5 years basis).
It is valid until April 2024

I wonder why it has an expiry date? I know the naturalisation can be done after 12 months but just wanted to ask why it has an expiry date.

Secondly:- I acknowledge there is no restriction to stay with the same employer after getting ILR.
But is there a benefit in staying with the same employer? does it make naturalisation smoother?

Are there any further tax payment requirements for this 12 months periods (ILR to Naturalisation)? or staying employed I mean basically.

thank you very much.

Regards,
JR

It should be December 2024, which is when the EU has stated all biometric documents need to be updated with enhanced security features, so the card has to be replaced. Does it definitely say Indefinite Leave to Remain??

You are free to change jobs. Makes no difference for citizenship as employment is not mandatory for citizenship.

Employment is NOT a requirement for citizenship.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

type of permit - Settlement
Remarks - Indefinite leave to remain

is everything okay now?

Question about the expiry date is still there? is that because of change in Cards?
