not starightforward e mail, how long can it takein most cases.

plz help me to find out how long can it take for not straigt forward cases cos few people waiting for one year thats horrible. but i hope not alll cases take that long, i recevied e mail of not straight forward case today. i applied from india non priority , plz do share information about not straight forward cases , thankz in advance.
