Settlement Visa Rejection Appeal won. What next?

Post by Jon.Mason » Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:42 pm

Hi everyone.

Towards the end of 2017 I applied for a settlement visa for my Moroccan wife.

It was rejected as there was a mistake on one of the forms. I appealed and at the end of 2018 I had my court appearance and won the appeal.

I was told the judge would contact me within 4 weeks.

I heard nothing until the end of March, when I suddenly got an email saying I needed to pay the NHS health surcharge within 7 days. I had paid it previously and they refunded it. I submitted the payment again using the link they provided.

They also requested my wife take in her passport, so she did that in the visa centre office in Rabat.

We received a receipt for the NHS surcharge payment, with a payment reference number. But the email specified I would get an IHS reference number that I would get sent once I completed the IHS application, that I would need in support of my application.

I have no received this.

I was also told to email 2 different email address to let them know we have completed these steps, which I have done but had no response.

Finally I also received an email saying I am signed up to TLS contact and that my application was transferred to UKVI for processing. A separate email said I needed to click a link to TLSContact and type in a password to track my application.

I clicked the link and it didnt ask me for a password, it took me to a page saying if I created my application after 13th of March I need to "Make an account" on gov.uk to redirect to my account on TLSContact, but no such login exists on the gov.uk website.

It also said if I applied before 13th of March I need to track my application through the "contact us page". I tried that and no response.

I am now a day before the deadline and have no clue what I need to do. This system is very convoluted and confusing.

Anyone have any idea what I am supposed to do? Is submitting the IHS payment and my wifes passport sufficient? Do I just need to wait now? Or make an account on any of these sites?

I find TLS Contact a very poor company, they twice messed up my fiancee's general visit visa in the past by messing up the scanning of supporting documents and now they are saying we need to take all supporting documents for her Spouse visa to the biometric appointment and for a fee they will scan documents and send electronically to Sheffield yet on their web site it says for my wife should only go with her passport, Application and email confirming payment and ALL supporting documents posted to Sheffield.

I find dealing with TLS terrible. What did your wife take to the BioMetrics appointment if I may ask?
