UK Visit Visa 6 month - Date of stamp

Hi, I have applied for my mothers UK visitor visa and biometric is on 16th april. Her proposed date of travel is 18th may. I am just wondering will the visa stamp start from 18th May , the proposed date of travel ? As then I can plan further and see if I have time to get her Schengen visa

Hi,

When we had my parents in law visit us, we clearly requested for the start date to be considered as we had made plans to take them around (in and out of the country, and a Schengen Visa Application wasmsrill needed to be done), and the expiration (of 6 months) might affect the whole plan. If it’s not requested, they tend to stamp it on the day of approval.
