Hopefully the invites are out this week - they kind of have to be - if it goes into the week after it’s less than 3 weeks until ceremony, they have to give people some sort of notice!Iggy4 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2019 11:22 amJust found this on INIS website :
Citizenship phone lines will be closed on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays: April 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25. During those dates, you can continue to send in queries by email to citizenshipinfo@justice.ie
Phone lines re-open on Tuesday 30 April.
So only option is to contact them via email if everything is ok with the bankers draft and citizenship ceremony. grrrrrrrrrrrr
Application Based On: Spouse to Irish citizen, non-EU
Plus every time someone posts to this, I would think someone have received itthegoodaulleo wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 1:46 pmCan we all agree we should only post when any of us actually receive the invitation and not when we don't? Otherwise there are going to be countless "nothing for me today"?
littlerr wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:53 pmI emailed them about when the invitations will be sent out, as I want to know if I need to request for a day's leave off work.
I got the reply within an hour (!) and it's completely identical to the one mrrobot posted above.
I hope that they do check the applicant name before using the typical copy and paste.
Thanks for the information. The postmark for my letter was dated the 1st April and it arrived today (I originally applied in September 2018)

Last May, the 3 ceremonies started at 11.00, 13.15 and 15.20.Amata wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 5:26 pmQuick question for those going to the next ceremony - what sort of time does it state that the ceremony starts for you?
I just got my acceptance letter, so have to send them the cheque. But if I get an invite for the next ceremony then I have to travel down from Galway by either coach or train, so am wondering if I need an overnight stay since it's not that easy to get to (and have to try and book time off in case)
Thanks![]()
