Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

I came here in UK with job visa on 25/11/2018 and i got my BRP card but i did not realized that it is necessary to do the police registration. i want to do that and i prepare my documents. As i read in GOV.CO.UK it said that i will get in trouble and they might fine me 5000 pound or 6 month prison or force me to leave the country. So do you have any advice to do it? may i get in trouble or no? im really worried about that. please let me know if you have any information.
