5 yr route changed to 10 yr because of english requirement, can i request for reconsideration?

Hi All

I have applied for spouse visa extension (5yr route), unfortunately misunderstood the form as it says A1 or higher without realising that it meant A1 for new, A2 for renewal. So i submitted my A1 IELTS, the same one i used for my initial visa application/ entry clearance.

Now I have taken the A2 hoping that I can apply for request for reconsideration in the hopes that i can argue about the appendix FM-SE, discretion of the decision maker to contact the applicant for missing or wrong document.

I’d like to go back to the 5yr route that’s why i want to request for reconsideration.

Will a request for reconsideration be a good option or a PAP to JR?

When you say reconsideration - what do you mean? Are you going to reapply for ILR on 5 year route or are you trying to overturn the original refusal?
