FLR (M)

Post by Grewal » Sat Apr 06, 2019 9:50 pm

Dear Friends,

Please help me as I am a bit confused as my wife applied for ILR and I applied as FLR (M) at the same time in Dec 2017. She has received 30 months limited leave to stay in uk . I am still waiting for my Visa. My questions are:
1) How does this work as FLR (M) is dependent application of main applicant and when Home office has granted 30 months Visa to my wife (main applicant), why there is delay in my Visa as in her approval letter it is clearly mentioned that same visa apply to her partner as well.

2) How long does FLR (M) visa takes after main applicant is granted 30 months Visa.

3) What shall I do now other than waiting ?

Thanks

Grewal

Why was your wife's ILR application refused? Which category of visa did she previously hold?

Thanks Casa,

It was due to some tax amendments issues

She was holding HSMP. After final extension she applied for ILR but when no results came she applied second application on the basis of 10 year long residency in uk and got 30 month stay

It appears that wife's application under long residency has been refused due to the tax amendments and that she has now been given leave to remain outside of the Immigration Rules. This will be a 10 year route to ILR (2.5 years x 4) and from your post it would seem that you have been granted the same.

However to confirm the above, it would help if you posted both yours and your wife's immigration history during your time in the UK.

Thanks Casa,

She is been in this country from 2007 and I came here in Oct 2011.
The letter says that her partner is given same Visa, but my question is how long does it takes as it is been 2 weeks now that she has got her Visa bit I have not heard anything from Home Office yet.

How usually Home Office process FLR (M) Applications , plz reply
