ILR Application - 14 day Overstay Spouse Visa

Post by Mimi89 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 10:17 am

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help.

I have recently completed 5 years on the spouse visa route. My visa was valid until April 3 but due to illness I wasn’t able to send my application on time. Realised quite late that the 28 day grace period no longer exists but I managed to send application by April 17. I have written a letter explaining and requested a medical note from my surgery.

Do you think I’m in danger of being refused? What’s the worst case scenario? My husband is a British citizen and we have 2 young children. All other documents and requirements are in order as far as I know.

Really anxious about the whole thing.

Thanks,

Mimi.

What’s the worst case scenario?
If you don't get ILR you might instead be granted another 2.5 year visa, possibly put on the FLR(FP) 10 year route.
