Additional Documents Requested by UKVI

Post by inderjeet101 » Sat Apr 06, 2019 6:03 am

Hi members,

I have received an email yesterday from UKVI Sheffield to provide additional document - "Employment letter of my Sponsor". Although I provided this letter to UKVI in my supporting documents, I am resubmitting this again.

Is this a cause of concern that UKVI is asking for a document which has been already provided? Only explanation to this is either they overlooked this document in the first place or it was not scanned properly at the VFS London location.

Can any of the moderators please explain what this could mean? Are they trying to re-verify the employment of the sponsor by asking the document again from us?

I would be really grateful for any revenant response to this query.

Thanks

It will most likely be because they have not received it or have not seen it within all your other documents.

Send them the required letter as quick as you can but also with a covering letter confirm you already included this in original documents.

It’s unlikely they want it for another reasons as they wouldn’t be asking you in that manner, they would be checking with employer if they had any reason to doubt the legitimacy of it.

Once you submit, the visa should be granted. This is because they won’t request a document if for any other reason the visa is not able to be granted.

Hi there

First of all...Its always better to resend whatever docs they request..even if u have sent it earlier.... because in any case it is your application which will be delayed later... so if u have it just send it.

Secondly, if they request additional document does not guarantee visa success....this may be to fullfill one of the thousand checks which they go through while considering each application.

Thanks

The Operational Guidance, which you can find on the Home Office website, states they should not request a document if for another reason the visa will be refused.

They have the descresion to not request a document, request a document, or refuse.

Of course the letter requested must meet their requirements and if so I would suggest the visa will be granted, 99.9%.

The letter need to include the following if it’s salaried employment:

(b) A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips at paragraph 2(a) confirming:
(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

Hi there

Thanks for your inputs, its has great value

In my case they requested additional docs like pics of both me and my wife together but not marriage ones second they requested whatsapp conversations, call logs etc.
I provided following docs on mail:

1) 5 pics of both of us at 5 different locations and occasions, since my wife was with me for 20 days only.
2) screenshots of WhatsApp call log 11 pages. Covering june 2017 onwards.
3) moneygram receipts in the name of my father.
4) Royal Mail mailing bag in which I received gift from my wife... It's addressed in my name.
5 letter of support from mother explaining our relationships and same from colleagues with I'D proofs.....

Was that sufficient... It took almost a week to collect all this and mail them... 27 Feb I received mail and 8 March 19 I mailed all these docs twice.

But since then no acknowledgment or response... It's 58 day gone.... I'm getting really tense.

Pls advise.

Thanks

Hi, UKVI has asked for exactly the same 4 points as mentioned by you above. However, the employer who is a large British Bank provides employment letter in a standard format. The letter which I have submitted is addressed to UKVI. The letter has the name of the sponsor, Sponsors NI Number, Type of Employment - Permanent in our case, Gross annual Salary, Start date of the employment and the address/phone number of the employer.

I hope this will suffice the requirements of UKVI.

Now it's over 70 days from Biometrics..... And sent additional docs on 8Mach 2019 against deadline of 10 March.
I have read some saying that there are 99.9 percent chances that visa will be granted, if add docs are requested.

But now it's too long over 70 days.... Status is showing awaiting decision and they want me to wait till 14 May 19...which will over it 80 days waiting time.....
Please help me... I'm in complete disarray.

Thanks

What exactly is your query?

No one has the answer to why the Home Office have not yet responded to you.

Some countries there is a typical wait time of 90 days which doesn’t appear to have been reached for your case.

You can contact them for the status however will probably receive a generic response and you’ll be no wiser.

If you’ve not received a refund for the IHS fee that is a good sign - a refund means a refusal.
