Documents: originals/copies

Post by ms1993 » Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:41 am

Hi all,

Can it be clarified which documents have to be originals and which can be photocopies?

Can the land registry doc be a photocopy? I do hold the original... Should I also submit a council tax bill in my name with the land reg? Do I need to submit any utility bills in my name?

I also have P60 for 2017/18 and 2018/19 - these are of course e copies provided by the employer. Can I submit these too? Should it be included in the employers letter that the P60 is true?

Hi

Except land registry all documents should be in originals for scanning at VFS because you are going get it back anyhow after few hours as per new rules.....however, there is an option provided by home office to supply legitimate photo copies of originals.

Thanks

Hi everyone

Some general advice please. After some more digging today, I’ve realised that my husband’s tier 4 student visa since 2011 has been a little all over the place. In a nutshell:
Entry 2011
Extension in 2013
New application in 2014 but colleges/uni had closed by then and he then received a letter by Ukba Telling him he only had 40 days to leave. So he chose to leave to Rep of Ireland.

I have all docs ready for an application by the end of May. My husband can’t recall specific dates of applications - only years and has not saved any correspondence either.

1) should we make a SAR request? I have a letter of consent from him signed and a passport copy but I don’t have a signed photograph from him. To get a signed photograph may take too long - what’s the work around if any?
2) does the application ask for specific dates of applications / extensions? If it does then a SAR first seems common sense but if it doesn’t then can we provide only years?

What are your thoughts?

Can anyone kindly provide any thoughts on this so that I may request signed photograph of required before the application?
