Attended a super priority service for ILR (via teir 2 general) along with depended spouse --

Hello Guys,

First of all I would like to appreciate all of you people on this board for your time in helping others with their immigration queries. I am new to this forum and I would like to post my situation here.

I am currently on teir 2 general visa and have applied for ILR along with dependent spouse after entering the qualifying period (application was filled and represented by my company solicitor).

service selected - Super priority service (london)
Number of applicants - two (main and dependent spouse)
Date biometrics given - 23/04/2019

After providing the biometrics on the above said date with in few hours my solicitor received a email from the home office saying that
" we are currently considering your above clients application for ILR in the UK.
your clients application has been selected for further checks before we can make a decision on the case. Please send the all the original documents that are scanned and uploaded in support of your clients application by post to the address provided."
Also they have mentioned SOC is missing in the employer letter so informed the solicitor to get a new letter from the sponsor with the SOC mentioned in it.
So we did got a new letter from the employer with the SOC code mentioned and sent all the original documents on the same day by next day guaranteed delivery.
So far we have not heard anything back from them.
I don't have any issues with my immigration history so far (no rejection etc) all the documents submitted are genuine but I don't know why they have requested my original documentation for further checks.

It will be very grateful if anyone shares your knowledge or experience if you have faced similar situation like me.

You are the first person to report this type of request that I have seen.

It is likely that it will take a bit longer than usual and HO obviously has a reason why they want to see all the original documents or it might be a simply random selection.

All you can do now is wait.

Thank you CR0001. It looks like a waiting game now

Also I would like to mention that on the day of appointment the person at the biometric centre told us that the documents that we have uploaded are not properly visibly and they scanned all the documents again. more over the system was crashed twice while doing our enrollment and they have to restart the full process again.

I am not sure whether this caused some problems for HO to view my documents or they might found out any issues or else as you said might be a random selection. Eagerly waiting for their response.

Once again thank you.

This might have been the reason. They couldn’t see the documents visibly and needed to see the originals. Just be patient and hope for the best since you sent all that is needed. All the best.
