IHS Fees and Leave granted for Tier 2 Dependent

Post by rubyracer2 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 12:51 pm

Dear Gurus,

What is the IHS fees applicable for a three year Tier 2 General PBS dependent application when the visa validity is limited to less than 2 years due to remaining leave for main applicant. would it be as per the visa application period (3 * £400) or the remaining leave for main applicant (2 * £400).

As always thanks in advance!

A dependent will not get leave granted for longer than the main visa holders leave.

Hi Char thanks for your reply. Does the IHR surcharge also applies per year for the leave granted or for the visa validity.

If my dependant applies for 3 years Tier 2 application but only receives 2 years leave because thats the remaining leave I have, is the IHS payable for 2 years or 3 years? Thanks in advance

If dependent applies for 'up to 3 years' and 3 years IHS is asked for, you need to pay it. If only 2 years or less is granted, you should get a refund of the extra year paid for.
