Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.expat007 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 1:22 pmHi there,
1, will the fact I'm unemployed stop him getting a visa?
(No, unless he will state in his application that you are paying for his visit and accommodation, then you both need to substantiate that fact by proper documents of income and savings)
2, How to prove how he lives/sustains himself?
(MUST be officially documented, through Bank Accounts Statements, Company Trade License, Income Receipts , etc.)
3, Should he not mention the business as he can't prove it?
(He can mention it, however, if it's not proven by official and authentic Documents, it will not be considered by the UKVI).
4, Can he show that his parents provide everything? If so what documents for this?
( Not sure his Application would be successful if he can't prove that he can support himself financially, unless he has a Savings Bank account that his Parents deposit steady income into his account)
I'm no expert, but I felt like I may help you since no answers were provided.
You're welcome, glad to help.
The marriage visitor visa though is for those who do not want to settle and live in the UK. They are usually not granted when the British spouse lives and works in the UK and the plan might be to try and change to a spouse visa within the UK.expat007 wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 11:50 amYou're welcome, glad to help.
You may be better off meeting somewhere he can visit easily, or you visiting him again.
For the future, he needs to show:
1- Earning enough money from Business or Employment ( this MUST go into a Bank Account ).
2- Has strong connection to Home Country ( This is done by being a student or having a business to sustain or having a family to support and take care of, or being an important part of some local community, such as a volunteer at a charity ).
3- Have no criminal record or offences.
4- Must NEVER EVER forge information or lie on a Visa application in order to get a Visa.
If your relationship together evolves into something more serious in the future, you may want to consider something called Marriage Visitor Visa https://www.gov.uk/marriage-visa , which is a 6 month Visa that enables him to Visit you in the UK to meet your family and friends and make arrangements to get married ( you will need to book Venues etc.), for this reason, you BOTH need to keep records of your relationship such as photos together, conversations, plans, trips , etc. it will come in handy later on.
