ILR Biometrics

Post by vinny048 » Thu May 02, 2019 10:08 am

Hi all, quick question to those who had applied for ILR recently.

My wife’s application (SET M Standard service) was submitted online 26/04/19 and the earliest appointment available for biometrics is not until middle of May.

To make matters worse we have to travel 90 miles from Bolton to Birmingham as there are no appointments in Manchester, Stockport, Preston or Lancaster.

Docs have been uploaded by my solicitor but have taken up the document checking service.

Is anyone else having issues like this and is this a sign of things to come through the application process. I’m assuming this will slow down the application process.

I still don’t understand why they take up to 6 months to make a decision when all requirements are met.

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't take 6 months anymore. When it does, it is very rare or a complex case.

Thank you for the quick response.

Would I be able to go into the centre when my wife enrols her biometrics?

Yes, though you might not be allowed in though, it seems to vary but most centres have limited space.
