Hi All,
I’m on Tier 2 dependant. My husband has already working for the company for almost five years and he decided to apply for ILR in September.
We got married last year, I switched my student visa to tier 2 dependant visa after that. Here is my dependant visa status:
Issue date: 2018-11-18
Expire date: 2020-07-29
Visa length: 1 year and 8 months
My questions are:
1) can I apply extend my tier 2 dependant visa if my husband get ILR? Am I still eligible to extend my dependant visa if he change his job?
2) how many times can I extend tier 2 dependent visa? As I know I will get 3 years visa if I apply for an extension, but I’m this case, I still need extra 2-month visa to be eligible to apply for ILR. Can I apply for another extension? What is the length of the visa - 2 months or three years?
3)I will need my husband’s BRP number & sponsors COS number to complete the application form.
If he get ILR, should I use his new BRP number in the application form?
If he changes his job, should i use his original COS number in the application form?
4) when can I extend my visa?
5) do you think I need to switch my dependent visa to Spouse visa when my husband get ILR? I prefer to stay in Tier 2 dependant visa if possible, because I will be eligible to apply for ILR a bit earlier. Any suggestions?
Many thanks!!
