Return of spouse visa documents

Post by Groneup » Wed May 08, 2019 8:21 am

Hi

My wife submitted her spouse visa application from Pakistan and gave the biometrics there i.e. me being sponsor. In reply to the online application we got an email to send documents to Sheffield within 2 weeks. Which I did by post. This was all around 2 weeks ago.

However yesterday we received an email advising acknowledgement of application but stated generically that scan your documents at VFS and the sponsor can also do so from UK but I dont have those now.

A day before this acknowledgement emai I had pushed the refund button on the Visa4uk website as I wanted my documents back urgently. I am now confused what to do. Will the application be cancelled? If yes then when would I get the documents back or do i need to do something else to get the documents back?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

According to member's experience the system has been changed and those who sent mistakenly their supporting documents received back their documents with the advice to scan them at VFS centre in UK. If you have sent them prepaid envelope then you can track their return too.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

If you posted them the documents and included a self-addressed & stamped envelope they will return the documents to you when they have finished scanning them themselves. It took about 3 weeks in our case - although we paid for the priority service.

Not sure about a scanning location in London - that wasn't an option when we applied.

How did you pay for priority service? I have tried searching or using vfs global for Islamabad Pakistan but it keeps saying this is unavailable at this location.

We paid as part of the application process via VFS global.

Might be that it's not available from Pakistan though. But we had the option in Japan, at any rate.

Oh ok thanks. I've seen others including the Pakistan timeline post priority visa but unsure and can't message them as it is only a timeline post.
