Holiday Visa Refusal

Post by Mulatab » Mon May 13, 2019 11:17 am

I need advise urgently. I just got my I’m visit visa refused under v4.2 (a) (c) (e) . I was going to spend my summer holidays with my uncle who is a uk citizen .I am currently a student in university . I submitted an introductory letter from my university. I also submitted all my sponsor documents including my uncles passport scan and bank statements . I am not working so will be completely sponsored. This was stated in the letter to the consulate . I do not understand why I was refused after submitting everything needed . I’m also schooling so I don’t understand why they claimed I do not have a genuine reason to visit and return to my home country . So I want to try again . I want to know what I can do differently this time . Thank you .

What evidence exactly of strong ties to home country did you submit (social, family, financial, employment, education, etc etc)??

How old are you?

Can you post what is the exact wording of the refusal, taking out personal details?

Hello I am 21 years . I’m a second year student in university . This means I depend fully on my parents as I am not working . I submitted an introductory letter from my school .Basically showed that I was currently a student there and I am permitted to travel during the holidays .
This was the refusal letter .

(REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... v-visitor- rules), I have considered:
 your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
 your immigration history
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph V4.2 because:
In order to be able to make a decision on whether or not to grant you entry clearance in this category I have taken into account your stated circumstances in the home country, the reasons for your visit and your proposed travel arrangements.
- You are seeking entry to the UK for 2 months family visit. You state that you are a non- working student.
- Supporting documentation allows me to assess whether your statements on the visa application form are a true description of your circumstances. The onus is on applicants to ensure that they submit adequate evidence of their circumstances and ability to finance their stay in the UK.
- It is your responsibility to satisfy me that your circumstances are such that if granted a visa to the UK, you will comply with all of the conditions attached to such visa and that you will leave the UK on completion of your proposed visit. I consider that you have not shown sufficiently strong family, social or economic ties outside the UK as you have provided limited documentation to demonstrate any of your personal circumstances in the home country.
In the light of above, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated by you. I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is refused under paragraph V 4.2 (a) & (c).
I am therefore not satisfied that you have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs in relation to your visit and your application is refused under paragraph V4.2 (e). )

You failed to submit all the evidence of ties to home country. A single university letter is not sufficient.

Her work has no fixed income . She’s self employed. With the issue of the funds . My uncle is paying for everything during the duration of my visit. Flight and accommodation all included .

I’m having more problems with determining how to show them I have no plans of staying there after my visit.

Then you will need documents from your uncle's side.

I have sponsored UK visit visas for my parents-in-law and provided:

- Certified copy of my passport
- Letter from my landlord stating that I have enough space and that he has no objection to my parents-in-law staying in the flat for the duration of their visit
- Certified copy of my tenancy agreement
- Council tax bill for proof of address
- Invitation letter from me, stating reason for visit, what I am doing in the UK, that I have ample space, that I will be responsible for room, board and any other expenses (for goodness sake, do get travel health insurance! My parents-in-law grumbled about it and then actually needed it.)
- certified copies of 6 months payslips
- 6 months corresponding bank statements

Did you send anything showing that you have enrolled for university next year and that you are required to be back on such and such date?

You'll still probably be regarded as a high risk candidate for overstaying.
